Residential therapeutic programs usually last about a year and have high rates of rehabilitation.

Modesto Salgado, director general of Proyecto Hombre in Castilla la Mancha for more than thirty years, insists on highlighting that the fundamental objective is a personal change in people with addictions: “We understand that the problem is not so much drug or alcohol, but personal emptiness and forms of relationship insane, reasons why consumed.

Proyecto Hombre has different initiatives depending on the profile and age of the person. Alcohol and drug programs must be added to the outpatient clinic for people with addictions who have a more stable family or work structure. Another program is aimed at mothers with children under three years of age that allows the treatment and care of the children living in the community to be made compatible with their mothers. In the prison of Herrera de la Mancha, the entity has an intra-penitentiary community. Other interesting projects are those aimed at children with addictions and working together with parents and schools to carry out prevention tasks.
