Almansa hosts the traveling exhibition “Museorum”
- The municipality hosts until February 18 this great photographic exhibition that includes unique pieces from the five provincial galleries
- With this exhibition project, Iberdrola continues to support culture and heritage conservation through different actions in Castilla-La Mancha
The municipality of Almansa receives from today “Museorum”, the outdoor exhibition cycle that offers the most representative pieces of the five provincial galleries through 42 large panels in a selection of photographs. Fundación Iberdrola España installed in the representative Plaza de Santa Maria, the municipality almanseño, until February 18 this sample allows them to bring the art of the museums Castilian La Mancha to their neighbors.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Pilar Callado García, mayoress of Almansa; Diego Pérez González, provincial delegate of Education and Culture of the Junta de Comunidades de CLM in Albacete; Borja López Martínez, councilman of Culture; Fernando García, president of the Fundación Iberdrola España and Ramón Castresana, director of the Fundación Iberdrola España.
Among the pieces on display are some such as El Caballero de los Villares, El Busto de Lucio César de Ercávica, La Venus de Noheda, El Sepulcro de Doña Aldonza de Mendoza de Lupiana, La Inmaculada Oballe de El Greco, La Escultura Femenina de Zenón de Afrodisias, la Portada de la Sinagoga de Ciudad Real or El Tránsito de San Julián de Giuseppe Simonelli.
Also, you can enjoy the works exhibited in the Museum of Albacete, which include pieces such as the Knight of Los Villares, the Roman Dolls of Ontur, the Lekanis of the Necropolis of El Toril, the Visigothic Cancel of the Basilica of Eio, the Candil de piquera’ of Liétor, the Cross of Albacete, the Dolorosa of Salzillo and the Portrait of Alberto Sánchez’ of Benjamín Palencia.
After the success of the exhibition in Cuenca and in the La Mancha municipalities of Alcolea de Calatrava, Manzanares, Cifuentes, Bolaños de Calatrava, La Roda, Quintanar del Rey, Illescas, and Humanes, “Museorum” continues its tour of the Autonomous Community. After Almansa, the exhibition will reach Consuegra, the last stop of the exhibition.
