This exhibition will allow visitors to tour the different schools that make up the permanent collection of El Prado and learn about the history of Spain, Europe, and Western art through the great masters of painting. The 50 works include Spanish, Italian, Flemish, French, French, German, and Dutch schools, from the 12th century to the early 20th century.
The exhibition, which began in Seville last September, has resumed its itinerancy through Andalusia and will travel to the cities of Cadiz, and Huelva in the coming months, in addition to Cordoba, Granada, Jaen and Almería. Curated by Ana Moreno Rebordinos, General Education Coordinator of the Prado Museum, this large outdoor exhibition offers full-scale reproductions of the permanent collection.
Since it began its run in Spain in 2020, ‘El Prado en las Calles’ has accumulated a large number of visitors at its various sites in Castilla La-Mancha, Castilla y León, and Extremadura.
