Fundación Iberdrola España and Fundación Integra join forces to offer second opportunities to women victims of violence

Fundación Iberdrola España and Fundación Integra have managed to improve the employability of 80 women victims of violence, through the ‘ Illuminating Employment‘ project. Thanks to this collaboration between the two entities, 50% of the participating women have already found a job.
Since 2022 and thanks to this initiative, 160 women victims of gender violence have improved their chances of accessing employment in the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, and Andalusia.
‘Illuminating employment‘ has the involvement of corporate volunteers from companies and collaborating entities of Fundación Integra, who teach socio-labor workshops, learning at the same time the reality of these women and the importance of their labor inclusion as a key factor to achieve their independence and empowerment.
Given the good results obtained, both foundations have reiterated their collaboration to launch the third edition of the project that begins this month.
Ana María, one of the beneficiaries of this project, highlights that “thanks to the training I have received during these months, I have managed to gather the necessary strength to begin to look to the future. Seeing myself surrounded by such valid people with so much enthusiasm has made me think that I also want to be able to achieve everything I set my mind to. “I have been nullified for a long time but now I want to be free, strong, and independent.”
This complete and personalized training itinerary allows you to identify, enhance, and develop the capabilities and competencies of female victims. Essential to regain control of your life and walk towards the future with hope. Both entities work on the commitments of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, generating a real and positive impact through the integration of ESG criteria and their stakeholders.
Fundación Integra has obtained more than 15,300 jobs for socially excluded women, with the help of companies and entities that, such as Fundación Iberdrola, are committed to socially responsible employment.
Iberdrola, since its creation, has been committed to the energy, cultural, and social development of the communities in which it is present. In this sense, the Iberdrola Spain Foundation represents another step in this commitment, by promoting initiatives that contribute to improving people’s quality of life.
Furthermore, through its Social Program, the Fundación Iberdrola España has allocated more than 12 million euros to social initiatives in the country and helped a total of 414,546 people. Since the launch of this Plan in 2010, the company has promoted more than 500 projects in collaboration with more than a hundred social entities, contributing to the fight against child poverty, school support, and the social insertion of children, young people, and women. in a vulnerable situation. The Social Program has allowed the creation of 1,830 jobs and the participation of 8,538 volunteers.
