Fundación Iberdrola España receives the Medal for Cultural Merit in Castilla-La Mancha in its 5th Edition

The 5th Edition of the awarding of the Medals for Cultural Merit in Castilla-La Mancha was held in the town of Iniesta, Cuenca, where the recognition of the entities and institutions that stood out in 2022 thanks to their contribution to the region took place.
Fundación Iberdrola España has received the Medal for Patronage and Promotion of Culture implemented in Guadalajara, as it is an entity that has been sponsoring and developing cultural and heritage projects in Castilla-La Mancha for years, which have contributed to the conservation, enhancement, and dissemination of cultural heritage assets in the region.
In recent years, numerous lighting projects have been carried out in Castilla-La Mancha, such as the Arab Bridge in Guadalajara, the historic Mills of the Cadastre of the Marqués de la Ensenada, the Cathedral and Plaza Mayor of Sigüenza, the Basilica of Our Lady of Prado in Talavera, the Roman Bridge of Talavera de la Reina, the Church of Valdepeñas, the Monastery of Uclés or the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca in Toledo.
As for restoration projects in this region, the historic Mills of the Cadastre of the Marqués de la Ensenada or the Altarpieces of the Cathedral of Cuenca also stand out.
The President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, attended the awards ceremony. In this fifth edition, a total of six awards have been granted: the Extraordinary Cultural Merit Award, the Plastic Arts Award, the Performing Arts, Music and Cinema Award, the Patronage and Cultural Promotion Award, the Award for Literary Creation, Publishing, and the Promotion of Reading and the Award for the Conservation and Dissemination of Heritage.
