The monitoring committee of the collaboration agreement between Fundación Iberdrola España and the Spanish Paralympic Committee has announced the 12th edition of the Fundación Iberdrola España Scholarships, aimed at athletes who are beneficiaries of the ADOP Plan and who are pursuing university or postgraduate studies during the 2020-2021 academic year.

The “Fundación Iberdrola España Scholarships”, which range between 5,000 and 1,250 euros, aim to facilitate the professional training of Paralympic athletes with a view to their integration into the labour market once their sporting life is over.

To be eligible for these grants, athletes must be beneficiaries of the ADOP Plan at the time of application and be enrolled in university or postgraduate studies in the 2020/2021 academic year. Priority will be given to those who have benefited from the grant in the previous academic year, provided that their average mark is equal to or higher than 5 in the subjects presented. In case of equality of conditions between two candidates, preference will be given to the one who is enrolled in the most advanced course and, in the last instance, the one with the best academic record will be given priority.

The amount of the scholarships will vary between 5,000 and 1,250 euros depending on the number of credits passed in the previous year, with a maximum of 2,500 euros for students who are beginning their university studies or for those who are only doing their Final Degree Project. In the case of postgraduate courses, the scholarship may vary depending on the amount of the enrolment fee.

Athletes interested in applying for the scholarship must do so before 23 October 2020, by sending an application to the following e-mail address:

This application must include a personal data sheet, as well as a transcript of grades from the last academic year and the registration for the 2020/2021 academic year. The award of this twelfth edition of the scholarships will be decided before 30 October.
