Iberdrola, through its Foundation in Spain, renews its commitment to the Fundación Miguel Delibes
- The collaborative relationship between the two institutions was born at the same time as the Miguel Delibes Foundation itself, more than ten years ago, consolidating itself as a successful and stable model of cooperation between two institutions that share fundamental aspects of their mission and objectives, among which cultural dissemination and education are some of the most important.
Valladolid, November 3rd, 2021 – Iberdrola, through its Foundation in Spain, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Valladolid institution, is committed for another year to support Fundación Miguel Delibes in the development of its cultural activities.
This morning, by signing a collaboration agreement in the library of El Círculo de Recreo in Valladolid, both institutions have sealed their commitment to culture and education. The event was attended by Fernando García, president of Fundación Iberdrola España; Elisa Delibes de Castro, president of Fundación Miguel Delibes; Ramón Castresana, general director of Fundación Iberdrola, and Germán Delibes de Castro.
Fundación Iberdrola España will collaborate with the general interest activities developed by Fundación Miguel Delibes in pursuit of its objectives ; specifically, the collection and custody of the cultural legacy of writer Miguel Delibes, and the study and dissemination of his figure and his work, as well as the promotion and support of studies and research on topics that have been constant in his literary work.
The initiatives promoted by the Valladolid institution, which will once again be supported by Fundación Iberdrola España, include the new design of the foundation’s website -an essential tool for dissemination-; the touring of exhibitions such as “Patria común. Delibes ilustrado“; the production of the animated short film: “Delibes, una vida llena de historias“, recently premiered at Seminci; the edition of several publications; the already consolidated cycle of journalistic meetings in interview format called “Cronistas del siglo XXI“; the “I Congreso Internacional de Periodismo Miguel Delibes“; as well as educational and training activities such as the “Delibes en el aula” series, aimed at primary and secondary school teachers, and the “Premio a las Mejores Experiencias Didácticas sobre la obra de Miguel Delibes“, in addition to cultural outreach and social inclusion projects in collaboration with third parties.
