Valdepeñas, first stop on the new itinerary of the Museorum exhibition
- The Ciudad Real municipality is hosting this great exhibition until April 21, which includes unique pieces from the five regional galleries

Starting today, the municipality of Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) receives ‘ Museorum ‘, the open-air exhibition cycle that offers the most representative pieces from the five provincial galleries through 42 large panels in a selection of photographs. The Iberdrola Spain Foundation is installing this exhibition in the representative Plaza de la Constitución, in the Ciudad Real municipality, until April 21, which brings the art of the Castilian-La Mancha museums closer to its neighbors.
Among the pieces on display are some such as ‘The Knight of the Villares’, ‘The Bust of Lucio César’ by Ercávica, ‘The Venus of Noheda ‘, ‘The Sepulcher of Doña Aldonza de Mendoza’ by Lupiana, ‘The Inmaculada Oballe ‘ by El Greco, ‘The Female Sculpture of Zeno of Aphrodisias ‘, the Cover of the Synagogue of Ciudad Real or ‘The Transit of San Julián’ by Giuseppe Simonelli.
Also, you can enjoy the works exhibited in the Ciudad Real museum where pieces such as the ‘Anancus’ stand out, ‘arvernensis’, the ‘Tongue Sword’ of carp, the ‘Warrior Stele’ of Alamillo, the ‘Golden Ring’ of Alcubillas, the ‘Maravedí de oro’ of Alfonso VIII, the ‘Almohad Jar’ of Alarcos, the ‘ Cover of the Synagogue’ of Ciudad Real and ‘Los borricos’ by Antonio López Torres.
After the success achieved by the exhibition in Cuenca and in the La Mancha municipalities of Alcolea de Calatrava, Manzanares, Cifuentes, Bolaños de Calatrava, La Roda, Quintanar del Rey, Illescas, Humanes, Almansa, and Consuegra, ‘ Museorum ‘ begins a new itinerant tour by ten different municipalities in the region.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Vanessa Irla, First Deputy Mayor of Valdepeñas; Blanca Fernández, Delegate of the Board of Communities of Castilla – La Mancha in Ciudad Real; José Jesús Caro, Provincial Delegate of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Castilla – La Mancha in Ciudad Real; Fernando García, president of the Iberdrola Spain Foundation and Ramón Castresana, director of Fundación Iberdrola España.

Recently, Fundación Iberdrola España has been awarded the Medal of Cultural Merit in Castilla-La Mancha for its patronage and support for culture in the V Edition of these recognitions promoted by the Government of the region.
