Social Program Calls History
Fundación Iberdrola España launches its Social Program Call for Proposals, reinforcing its commitment to the most vulnerable groups. Helping those most in need, building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable society is one of the priorities of the foundation’s Social Program. In each call, entities are invited to present projects that contribute to mitigate inequalities and help promote future opportunities for those at risk of social exclusion, paying special attention to children, youth and women.
Social Program Call 2022
In line with the current context, the 2022 Social Program prioritizes four specific lines of work for this call.
The first focuses on projects linked to child poverty and social exclusion, which support low-income households to cover basic aspects of daily life. As well as those that develop initiatives to promote education and reduce the impact of inherited poverty in the younger population.
The second line of work focuses on social inclusion projects for people with disabilities, supporting these children and young people and the occupational centers they attend by offering them a space for developing skills that will enable them to integrate into society and enter the labor market.
The third line addresses health and welfare projects, which accompany vulnerable children and young people with serious illnesses and their families, as well as initiatives aimed at the prevention and/or treatment of people affected by various addictions.
The fourth and last line of work focuses on supporting women who suffer or have been victims of harassment and gender violence, seeking to promote their self-esteem and personal autonomy through support and pre-employment training projects that boost their skills for real autonomy and promote, in turn, gender equality.

Social Program Call 2021
Fundación Iberdrola España, in its commitment to the most vulnerable people, has strengthened its alliance with social entities to help mitigate the negative impact of the economic crisis resulting from the COVID 19 pandemic.
Contributing to mitigate the consequences of this social crisis is the priority of the Foundation’s Social Program for the year 2021. 1.2 million, which will be channeled into 34 regional and local social projects in different areas of Spain.
In accordance with the current unprecedented and exceptional circumstances, priority is given to helping the most vulnerable children, with 43% of the projects aimed at combating child poverty and promoting inclusive education.
Another 23% are aimed at the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities, and 17% are oriented towards health and welfare.
The program reinforces its commitment to women in the fight against inequality and gender violence with 17% of the remaining projects.
By 2021, the Social Program will have an estimated impact on 50,000 people and will create 230 direct jobs for third sector professionals.

Social Program Call 2020
In the 2020 call, the objective sought by the foundation has been to help mitigate the negative impact of the economic crisis resulting from the pandemic on the most vulnerable people, prioritizing support for children, health and well-being, as well as women.
In total, this year, a multitude of projects have been presented by private non-profit entities declared of public utility that pursue purposes of social interest, whose headquarters are in Spain and develop their activity at the local and regional level. Of the total number of entities that participated, 34 were the winners. Likewise, this call has a total budget of 1.2 million euros to be executed during the 2021 fiscal year, and 49,636 people will benefit directly from the selected projects.
As presented in this Call, in accordance with the unprecedented and exceptional circumstances in the context of Covid-19, and based on the recommendations of the experts, we have sought to prioritize and promote projects with a direct impact on these four priority sectors for the foundation:
- 43% belong to projects related to child poverty and inclusive education.
- 23% corresponds to social inclusion.
- 17% in the area of health and wellbeing.
- 17% to support women.
